Painting pulls something out from inside of me that I cannot describe in any other way except through my art. Art isn't merely an expression through a medium, it is an extension of myself. My paintings, primarily oil-based, often speak for themselves. Within them are unique images and messages, hidden within the paint that speak differently to each and every person. I want people to see the beauty, the pain, and the "strange" in my art. So take a look for yourself...
What do YOU see?
I believe to be human is to be creative, it is where new ideas are formed. How that translates is what you see. It is what I call Surreal Impressions. In my charcoals and paintings, I use the concept of surreal images and show an impression of what I feel or see in my dreams. Although I use references in our surrounding world, these places do not exist in our present world and are impressions of places that you can only visit within a dream or subconscious and spiritual depth.
My photography has been primarily used for reference material for my paintings, however, landscape is natural beauty at its finest. Capturing the light and subject at just the right moment, expresses that moment, something that cannot be spoken in words. I look for reflections and shadows, unique shapes and color to open my mind to discover, explore and create. Recently I have added some of my favorites as Limited Edition puzzles. My hope is that my work inspires creativity and appreciation of the beauty right in front of us
