fine art inspires

New Beginnings

A personal note from Artist and Owner of MoreFineArts PC Revius

A Black & White Affair all started with a dream to encourage and showcase local artists in my community. There are so many amazing artists that only need an opportunity to be seen.  It all started with my studies of 1920s art and artists in combination with my love for black and white photography. I began to develop events with a local winery to showcase fine art and interact with the community. After all beautiful fine art should be shared, invoke conversation and community! Artists in the 20s competed with one another for work but they also connected personally, inspiring and challenging one another to create and develop their style and skill.  This is my goal with these events. My hope is that artists are inspired, challenged, and encouraged to create their best work, promote their message, their passions, their art. The themes are to open the minds and hearts of the artists, challenging them to create a visual representation of something subjective, something deeper than physical reality and thoughts. I believe that art inspires new thoughts, new beginnings, creative solutions. It expresses something that cannot be verbalized, gives tangibility to something that may or may not be tangible in life. This is what drives my fine art, what pushes me to be better with each piece and challenges my logic.

This year the theme is "Hope"

This is an excellent opportunity to create visual art that inspires and encourages in these crazy times where anxiety, stress and fears seem to be attempting control of our thoughts, preventing open minds, creative solutions, freezing our minds. Take the time to separate from the fears and seek out Hope. What does it mean to you? How does it make you feel? Where does your Hope come from? By visualizing our hopes, maybe, just maybe, we can overcome those things that seem impossible, those things that seem to have no end. A place where sickness can never touch the deep, where prejudice gives way to unity, where kindness and generosity become an act of strength and courage. You get the idea. My Hope is that the art created in this event, not only inspires and encourages the artists, but through their fine art representations, inspiration and encouragement reaches the people.
